Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

The first one said,  “Oh, my, it’s getting late!”

The second one said,  “There are witches in the air!”

The third one said,  “But we dont care!”

The fourth one said,  “Let’s run and run and run!”

The fifth one said,  “It’s Halloween fun!”

Then woooooo, went the wind

And out went the light

And the five little pumpkins

Rolled out of sight!

Jack and Jill Printable Poem and Lyrics

Use this Jack And Jill Printable Poem for literacy, poetry units, and more. Your kids can have fun acting out the poem using predictable movements!

Here is what I do for the movements with my class:

For the first part of the poem that goes, “Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water“,  I have my kids pretend to be marching up a hill along to the rhythm of the song.

When they get to the part that goes, “Jack fell down and broke his crown“, have the boys pretend to fall down (carefully), and when you get to the part that goes, “Jill came tumbling after!” have the girls pretend to fall down.  Your kids will have so much fun being silly and pretending to fall!

And broke his crown
